Question by Jeni B: organization for ALL types of cancer fundraising?
I am interested in hosting/planning an event for cancer fundraising study in my community. even so i fell that it would be most efficient if it was for an organization that was connected with all kinds of cancer, rather than 1 that pertained to particular types of cancer. is everyone away for national organizations of this sort?

American Cancer Society is a excellent location to start. Do a google search, or look them up in your telephone directory. Also, the Lance Armstrong Foundation has many opportunities. Check out Livestrong.org and appear for the “get involved” section. Planet Cancer is an additional group which offers with all sorts of cancer in the yound adult community. There are several ways to aid – it’s just a matter of obtaining the right fit!
Preserve in mind nevertheless, that sometimes it is the smaller and/or more specialized groups that will need the most help. Either way, thanks! We can use all the support we can get! :)
